We are passionate about sharing our natural wonder (the geyser) while providing not only a unique experience, but also educating visitors on its natural geothermal dynamics and how it ties to other natural wonders, such as earthquakes. On average, the geyser erupts and sprays hot streams of … Read more water flying into the air every half hour. In addition to the excitement the geyser offers to those who have come to see it, the grounds also feature picnic areas, a gift shop, and a snack bar to explore. Several different animals also live near the geyser and are featured in the petting zoo on the geyser’s premises. There’s also a petting zoo for the kiddos. Geyser launches about every 4-5 minutes. Great restaurants near by.Thar she blows! If you wait for at least 30 mins, you’ll probably see a squirt. This is a must-see if you’re sightseeing in Calistoga! There is a fee to visit Old Faithful, but it’s a great sight to see if the geyser is going. Nicely decorated seating areas, and a farm area with four horned sheep, guardian llamas, and fainting goats to keep you amused between eruptions. Some people complain about the admission fee, but they do a pretty decent job of keeping the place nicer than just a hole in the ground. Great for kids/families/nature buffs. This is an ok attraction in the area… To be honest, it looks a bit fake. There are some small trails you can take in the area and a small petting zoo. Just as we pull into the parking and were determining if we would pay to see the geyser, we see some mist shooting up into the air. Cool. The geyser works. Let’s get going… now. Good thing I read the reviews before we even decided to drop by. The gurgling sound right before it erupts is cool. If you have time you should check it out.The Old Faithful Geyser of California is one of only three geysers in the world with the designation “old faithful,” geysers that perform at regular intervals. At this one in Calistoga, visitors can see an eruption of steam and water going up about 60-100 feet about every 30 minutes. More of a thing to do with kids, especially given the admission costs ($10 per adult). It was nice and interesting but I was expecting a little more. We got in and out in approximately 10 minute. The coolest part was petting the animals :)Very cool attraction! Does cost money to see, but it was totally worth the few bucks; AWESOME to see in person, and as a bonus? THERE ARE ANIMALS TO PET! Llamas, goats, and FAINTING goats! You can buy feed for them and it’s the coolest part! The Geyser is one of the local natural attractions. They charge to get in but it’s a really nice clean area. They have picnic tables to hang out at while you’re waiting for the geyser to erupt, so bring a picnic! But best of all, they have cute farm animals you can pet and feed. This is interesting, but I’m not sure if I needed to see it. Reading about it was interesting enough 😀 However, if you’re in the area, why not stop by and see one of nature’s wonders for yourself. Not much here – a small geyser and a couple sheep – Geyser goes off every 30 min”},{“value”:”Kolbek O is located at 1299 Tubbs Ln, Calistoga, CA.
