The Hindu Temple of Antelope Valley is a place of worship for Hindus of the Antelope Valley – the towns of Lancaster and Palmdale and surrounding communities. It serves worshipers from Ridgecrest, Santa Clarita, Valencia, and other areas in the Los Angeles basin. Visitors from the east coast, Florida, and from foreign countries also regularly visit the temple.
The main deity in the temple is Mahavishnu. Seated in beautiful devalayas are other deities – Ajit Ganesha, the Shiv Parivar, Devi Akhilandeshwari, Sri Hanuman, The Ram Parivar and Radha-Krishna. A separate temple to the Navagrah is located to the northeast.
The temple is located in the beautiful high desert at the rim of the Mojave desert. It is situated in an campus of 2-1/2 acres, the area is dotted by Joshua trees and sage brushes. Immediately adjacent to the temple is a ten-acre park, the bucolic surroundings add beauty to the temple.
