HistoryEstablished in 1968Carl Currei, owner of Carl’s Barber Shop, started cutting hair in 1968 he worked for 30 years in San Fransisco where he had his own shop at the Sheraton in Fisherman’s Wharf called the “Barberie Cutter”, which operated for 23 years. He then moved his shop to Pleasant Hill in 1999 where he bought Nat Russo’s shop “Nat’s Barber Shop”, after Nat retired. He changed the named to Carl’s Barber Shop and ran his shop at that location for 5 years. He then relocated to Martinez in 2003 where he bought Campus Barber Shop and renamed it to Carl’s Barber Shop. He currently owns and operates his business from here.”}]
